El Sasso prevails at Wyong

El Sasso (Snitzel ex Sassy Peg) scored a first up win this preparation, and also at his first outing under the tutelage of Peter and Paul Snowden, at Wyong on Thursday taking out the 1200m Benchmark 75 Handicap.

The formidable Triple Crown Syndications, Snowden Racing and Blake Shinn team added another victory to the board following their highly successful winter carnival in Brisbane, and are looking forward to the 4yo son of Snitzel’s ensuing preparation.

Pleased with the gelding’s effort, Shinn commented that “he will gain confidence from the win and has more to give”, with co-trainer Paul Snowden looking forward to progressing him through the grades going forward.

Adding $12,250 prize money to the kitty for this win, El Sasso has now won in excess of $120,000 and has either won or placed in 12 of his 22 career starts.

El Sasso was purchased by Chris and Michael Ward from the Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale for $75,000 and continues the successful combination of Triple Crown and Arrowfield Stud graduates.

Congratulations to all connections!
