Saint Cheval Returns With A Spring In His Step

Triple Crown 3YO Saint Cheval had a winning return to the racetrack today in the nation’s capital, Canberra.  The son of Lonrho out of Jolie Brise was recently transferred from Sydney to the ACT stables of Nick Olive and the decision has proven to be the right one.

Saint Cheval took a tour of Canberra racecourse with a masterful ride from top jockey Brendan Ward. After jumping well Ward was able to position Saint Cheval just behind the speed and let the action unfold in front of him.  Saint Cheval seemed to be travelling well within himself rounding the home turn.  As the runners began to fan across the track, Ward set his sights on the outside rail.

Ward drove Saint Cheval out to the line in impressive style to win by 2 lengths first up. This son of Lohnro showed plenty of zest and it is exciting times for his owners going forward.

Congratulations to our owners in Saint Cheval; Triple Crown Syndications, Mr B J Creith, Mr A J Donehue, Mr A G Smith, Mr S Costanzo, Mr R Kaddour, Mr M J Dellapicca, Mr C R Edelsten, Mr R L Humberston, H Z D Racing, Sirrom Sirrah, Mr B Clucas, Mr K R De Grussa
