The Everest Horse Race in NSW

The Everest Horse Race in NSW

The Everest horse race is the first of its kind. Based in NSW, it’s the world’s richest race on turf and brings together a variety of talent from all over Australia.

A racing experience to remember

TRIPLE CROWN SYNDICATIONS won the inaugural running of The Everest, the world’s richest race on turf, with star sprinter Redzel on October 14, 2017 at Royal Randwick racecourse.

The total prize fund for the race comprised $10 Million, with the winner taking home $5.8 Million and a trophy valued at $320,000!

In what was an electrifying day at Sydney’s premier racetrack, Triple Crown’s owners in Redzel experienced a day they’ll never forget as they will forever more be able to say they were the winners of the very first running of The Everest.

The Snowden Racing-trained Redzel, a $120,000 purchase from the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale in 2014, has won almost $8 Million in prizemoney, making him one of the top prizemoney earners in Australian racing history and the leading stable star of Triple Crown.

Prepared by Grand Final trainers Peter & Paul Snowden to peak perfectly for the race, Redzel added The Everest prize to his Group 1 victories in the Doomben 10,000 and Darley Classic in 2017, with the son of Snitzel unbeaten in his last six races.

With his run of form the five-year-old has undoubtedly claimed the accolade of Australia’s best sprinter, with plenty more to come!
