Triple Crown at the double as Wooshka strikes

TRIPLE CROWN SYNDICATIONS scored a race-to-race double at Canterbury on Friday night, as Wooshka followed in the strides of Reelem In Ruby in taking the 1100m BenchMark 70 Handicap for the fillies

A striking daughter of Written Tycoon, Wooshka jumped, found the front and led all the way over the 6f trip, clinging on to win by a nose from the fast-finishing Spanish Dream.

The four-year-old had been plagued by misfortune this preparation with wet tracks and poor barriers, but the pieces fell into place here as she recorded an excellent victory at odds of $34.

Wooshka last tasted success as a three-year-old, when winning back-to-back races over the festive period, including at Canterbury in January, which prompted a tilt at Group 3 level, and this win was a welcome return to form for the $95,000 Inglis Premier purchase.

A big congratulations to her owners, enjoy your success!
