Triple Crown’s Centrepet provides special win for trainer

Triple Crown’s Centrepet (Snitzel ex Miss Rainmaker) saluted with a strong win at Hawkesbury yesterday taking out the Benchmark 70 Handicap over 1100m.

Given a plum ride by Hugh Bowman, Centrepet, who usually has great early speed was unable to keep up with the cracking pace set early on and settled around mid-field. This had connections sweating during the early stages of the race, however allowed her to make a strong run down the straight to notch up her 3rd win for her Triple Crown owners, and take her career earnings to over $130,000.

It was a sweet victory for trainer Gerald Ryan who not only trained her sire Snitzel, who is currently topping the Australian General Sires list, but also Centrepet’s dam and brother.

Centrepet was purchased by Chris and Michael Ward from the Riverslea Farm draft at the 2011 Inglis Scone Select Yearling Sale for only $72,500.

Congratulations to all connections!
