Another Saturday another major winner for gun sire Rubick

For the second weekend in succession the progeny of Rubick landed a major race in Victoria, with exciting three-year-old Excess Funds taking out the lucrative $500,000 Inglis Dash at Caulfield on Saturday.

Ridden to perfection by champion jockey Hugh Bowman, Excess Funds made it two wins from three starts this preparation with a dominant length and a quarter victory in the feature sprint.

His success follows hot on the heels of another major win for gun sire Rubick, whose hugely progressive daughter Rubisaki produced an emphatic performance to win the Group 2 Kewney Stakes at Flemington last weekend.

Statistics published by the Australian Stud Book revealed that Rubick was once again the most popular sire in Australia during the most recent covering season – the second consecutive year he has received the most support from Australian breeders in spite of a rise in his covering fee.

That is hardly surprising given all of the above, not to mention that he has already produced a prospective stallion of his own in the shape of $14 million The Everest winner Yes Yes Yes.

What’s more, Rubick’s lead in the second-season sire standings now exceeds $6 million, despite having nearly 30 fewer runners than his nearest pursuer Deep Field.

This all makes us incredibly excited for the future of our Rubick colt out of the Tale Of The Cat mare Tale Of Fun, who like Excess Funds was purchased at the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale and is eligible for the lucrative $8 million Inglis Race Series.

A beautiful mover, this colt has the bloodlines to match his impressive physique, given he is a close relation to Group 1 Golden Slipper winner MOSSFUN!

With his precocious pedigree and early-running physique, this colt has every chance of emulating his sire, who was a Group winner as a two-year-old.

Shares are available in this outstanding prospect for $7,995 per 5% or $15,990 per 10% share, including all costs up to 1 May 2020.

As well as the Inglis Race Series, this beautifully-bred colt is already nominated for the Group 1 Golden Slipper and Group Golden Rose Stakes.

Now is the time to jump on the Rubick bandwagon before it’s too late!!!
