Another Smart Win for Triple Crown’s Belesron

Triple Crown Syndications’ Belesron (Bel Esprit ex Miss Theron (NZ)) scored his third race win from only eight starts at Moe yesterday, and did so in impressive style.

The Peter Moody trained 4YO made easy work of the Heavy 9 track under the skilful hands of apprentice jockey Regan Bayliss.

Well placed in the Benchmark 64 Handicap over 1217m Belesron delivered for his owners, as well as those who had backed him in to short priced favourite, scoring in very dominant fashion.

Driven forward from the gates, Regan crossed Belesron to the fence effortlessly where he lead from start to finish. Producing a strong run upon entering the straight Belesron put a significant margin on the rest of the field and took out the event by 1.25 lengths, with 7.25 lengths to third place. Finishing in 1:14.52, Belesron completed the 1200m trip in very good time which was approximately 9 to 10 lengths quicker than the other 1200m Maiden event of the day, highlighting the quality of his victory.
