Delfuego too classy at Gosford
A SMALL field and slow tempo may not have suited, but Delfuego proved too classy in defeating three rivals in the Class 2 Handicap at Gosford on Thursday over the mile, to kickstart the Easter weekend in winning form.
A son of Encosta De Lago, Delfuego has shown good glimpses of talent both at home and on the track, and took his second career victory in convincing fashion under a shrewd ride from Tye Angland, who went back-to-back on the opening two races on the card.
An early double for @TyeAngland as he makes an early move on favourite Delfuego and it proves the winning move as the @SnowdenRacing1 galloper is too strong in the straight. @TripleCrownSynd pic.twitter.com/PwGpRS1R0p

One who will benefit from going up in trip from the mile, Angland got to work early on Delfuego to mitigate the slow tempo, with the three-year-old too good for his opposition, winning by a length and a half from Celebris.
Congratulations to his owners and thanks to Snowden Racing!
