Dothraki Eyes Group 1 Galaxy
Our speedy five-year-old gelding Dothraki has his eyes firmly on the prize in this Saturday’s Group 1 The Galaxy at Rosehill Gardens.
He is one of two Peter and Paul Snowden trained gallopers to be lining up in the race, the other being Bounding, both of which are coming off the back of a run in the Group 1 Oakleigh Plate in Melbourne. Dothraki, drawing the widest gate for his Oakleigh Plate task, finished a very admirable 2.1 lengths off the winner in eighth position with Bounding just behind him in ninth. Typically a horse that improves second-up and with a much better barrier draw (6) this time around, we are quietly hopeful of a strong showing on Saturday with Blake Shinn in the pilot’s seat.
Also lining up for team Triple Crown and Peter and Paul Snowden at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday is Denpurr in race 3, The Sebring Stakes. She’s resuming post a good spell following her Melbourne Spring Carnival preparation in which she claimed her first black type in a stakes race on Melbourne Cup day. Returning for the Autumn a bigger, stronger filly we feel that a stakes win this time around is well within the talented three-year-old’s grasp. Unfortunately, the barrier draw for this Saturday isn’t ideal, drawing gate 15 of 18 will be a hurdle for her.
Good luck to all connections! Having a runner on Golden Slipper Day is a wonderful experience in which we’re looking forward to sharing.
