El Sasso notches up another win

3YO Snitzel colt El Sasso (Snitzel ex Sassy Peg) notched up a win for Triple Crown Syndication owners at Gosford yesterday in the Class 1 EGroup Technology Handicap over 1200m.

The Gerald Ryan trained runner was purchased by Chris and Michael Ward from the Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale for $75,000 and has now paid for himself earning $75,130 in prizemoney so far.

El Sasso braved a Heavy 10 track and was piloted beautifully by Tim Clarke to take out the race by a length and earn $12,250 prizemoney for his owners, as well as a further $5,000 BOBS Bonus.

It was a good day for El Sasso’s dam, Sassy Peg, with her All American 2YO, Touchdown, finishing 3rd on debut, also at Gosford. Touchdown, raced by Triple Crown and trained by Ryan, ran home nicely following a pleasing trial at Rosehill and will now be stepped up over further ground at his next start.

Watch out for El Sasso at the track again in the coming weeks! With the confidence of this win under his belt the Triple Crown team believe he and his owners could be in for an exciting preparation.

Congratulations to all connections!
