One To Watch in WA
We’re overjoyed to see promising filly Peggy Sue, selected by Triple Crown from the 2014 Magic Millions Ready-To-Run Sale for loyal clients the Humberston’s and De Grussa’s, salute at Ascot on Wednesday in her second career start.
Easy to spot amongst the field, the baldy faced chestnut filly was well positioned by jockey Chris Parnham to sit a couple of pairs back from the lead before rounding for home and winning by two lengths.
The winning result comes after a very close 0.2 length second on debut and is a good training accomplishment by trainer Brent Albuino who needed to do a bit of work with the filly in order to get her to settle and relax throughout her gallops.
We’re looking forward to following this three-year-old filly’s next steps after she returns from a well-earned spell, she certainly has ability!
Congratulations to her winning connections Robin & Gail Humberston and Kevin & Jill De Grussa!
