Saturday winner for Epaulette as Ascot runner beckons

THE impressive juvenile stock of first-season sire Epaulette continues to stack up in the northern hemisphere, as the dual Group 1 winner in Australia struck yet another winner in the UK – and this might be his most impressive yet.

Thrown straight in at Saturday grade, International Man drew clear with authority to beat the well-bred debutante Arbalet by one and a half lengths. Another excellent type from the first crop of Epaulette, International Man is out of the Stakes-placed mare Right Answer.

Epaulette will also be represented when Royal Ascot kicks off tomorrow, with debut winner Chookie Dunedin among acceptances for the prestigious Coventry Stakes.

The Keith Dalgleigh-trained colt struck at Ayr with an all-the-way win four weeks ago, and his presence in the Group 2 encounter is reflective of the impression his first crop have made in Europe this season.

Version 2

15% remains in a tremendous stallion prospect by Epaulette!

Triple Crown Syndications have available the final remaining shares in a striking colt by the Golden Rose winner, who will be trained by the trainer who masterminded the career of EPAULETTE, Peter Snowden.

A stunning type, this colt is from the same family as Group 1 Golden Rose winner TOORAK TOFF and two-year-old Group 2 Sweet Embrace Stakes winner SCARLET RAIN, while he is bred on the same cross as outstanding Group 1 winners SCINTILLATION and ZOFFANY.

“Epaulette was an outstanding racehorse and a pleasure to train. I’m looking forward to now preparing his progeny.”
