Triple Crown has landed our first blow at the Magic Millions sale on the Gold Coast and secured an exciting colt by exciting first-season sire Tagaloa.
Tagoloa is a fast Group 1 winning son of former Japanese horse of the year and leading stallion Lord Kanaloa.
This well-bred colt out of winning Fastnet Rock mare Rockaroo will be trained by Annabel Neasham and be offered as a Ladies Only syndicate. Sorry fellas, this one is for the girls, so if you are keen to be involved, it will need go in your wives or girlfriend’s name!
This will be the first time we have offered a “Ladies Only” syndicate for some time and we expect this colt to be very popular with our female ownership base.
Established by Magic Millions owners Katie Page-Harvey and Gerry Harvey in 2012, the Racing Women’s Bonus of $500,000 is on offer to the first four all-female owned or leased horses in finishing order in The Star Gold Coast Magic Millions 2YO Classic, in addition to prizemoney of now $3,000,000.
Tagaloa was a Blue Diamond winner himself as a two-year-old, so there is no reason this colt can’t be back here at the Gold Coast in twelve months’ time.
“Wow. This is a smashing colt who looks like a 2yo already. He is a precocious early running type by a Blue Diamond winner. He looks an ideal prospect to be back here next year in the big 2yo race” – Chris Ward.
This magnificent colt is nominated for the lucrative $20.7m Magic Millions race series.
