Chris Ward

Chris’ formal tertiary education was Sports Science and Human Movement. It is a degree that Chris has never used in the traditional sense, but it has been incredibly useful when applying variations of the knowledge learnt to the Thoroughbred, in particular the biomechanics of the elite athlete.

He spent some time in the finance industry with his own successful mortgage finance company, however the lure of the Thoroughbred industry was too strong to ignore and Chris decided to return to his passion in 2004, when he founded Triple Crown Bloodstock Pty Ltd. Calling upon his previous exposure to the Thoroughbred industry, Chris initially set about providing pedigree analysis and broodmare breeding plans for those requiring these services. Armed with an understanding of the genetic make-up of Thoroughbreds, Chris then shared his expertise with those looking for racehorse ownership through the development of a syndication division of the business.

Chris has responsibilities with all horse selections, racehorse management, bloodstock acquisition and sales along with general business management and development.
