Triple Crown dominates with a double down south

Triple Crown Syndications’ owners enjoyed a fruitful weekend in Victoria with two runners producing a perfect strike rate on Saturday and Sunday.

Following his victory in the Group 3 Vain Stakes on August 15, boom colt Gold Symphony (Reward For Effot ex Tzaress) backed it up with another win in the Group 3 HDF McNeil Stakes over 1200m at Caulfield on Saturday. Capturing his third win from only four career starts, Gold Symphony increased his prizemoney pool to in excess of $200,000 in what has been a very successful maiden campaign for the three year old.

Jockey Glen Boss was full of praise for the youngster post-race after providing him with stellar guidance.

“He’s a nice colt” he told racing.com

“From the time I got on him I felt that he was a high quality colt”,

“It’s amazing how he’s starting to come on as an individual; he’s starting to get a bit bigger and stronger and is taking it all in his stride.

“He’s going in the right direction and the further he goes the better he’s going to be”.

A couple of elated Triple Crown owners also caught up with racing.com presenter Shane Anderson following the win and described their experience with the Triple Crown colt as “a dream come true”. Listen to the full interview below.

The $100,000 purchase by Chris and Michael Ward from the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale in 2014 is a very exciting prospect for the entire Triple Crown team and appears to have it all ahead of him.

Fellow Peter Moody trained four year old Liminal (Nicconi ex Lime Squeeze) continued Triple Crown’s hot streak with a three length win at the transferred Sale meeting at Packenham on Sunday.

Liminal also boasts an impressive race record with now two wins and two second placings from only five starts. The synthetic track posed no concern to the flashy chestnut as he produced a devastating turn of foot in the home straight and put his opponents away in what was a very encouraging first up race this campaign.

Certain the win would bring him on and provide the son of Nicconi with a confidence boost, Moody is now looking forward to progressing him through the grades.

Congratulations to all Triple Crown connections!
