Triple Crown Stable Heating Up As Autumn Approaches
Autumn Carnival is fast approaching and the Triple Crown Syndications stable is starting to heat up with five horses trialing at Rosehill this Tuesday.
Headlining the line-up is stable favourite Hot Snitzel (Snitzel ex Flames Of Paris), earner of $865,350 in prizemoney so far). The now 6 year old Group 2 Royal Sovereign Stakes winner is gearing up for an Autumn campaign which could see him again line up in the Group 3 Sebring Stakes which he has won dominantly in the past, and possibly even then back up to Brisbane in the Winter where he has previously enjoyed much success finishing 2nd in the Group 1 T.J Smith Stakes and only 2.1 lengths behind Linton in the Group 1 Stradbroke Handicap.
Fellow son of Snitzel, El Sasso (Snitzel ex Sassy Peg), will be making his second appearance of this preparation and should be ready to head to the races following this trial. Very consistently in the money, he had the ultimate gear change being gelded at the end of his last preparation, and connections are very excited to see him back at the races for a new campaign.
Keeping it in the family, El Sasso’s half-brother Touchdown (All American ex Sassy Peg) will also have a barrier trial on Tuesday. He has returned in great order following a spell, with trainer Gerald Ryan commenting that he is showing good dash on the training track this time in.
2YO Myboycharlie colt Chavish (Myboycharlie ex Elvish) heads to the trials for the first time, as does Northern Meteor colt Courtza King (Northern Meteor ex Kondari), who steps out for the first time in Sydney under the care of Peter and Paul Snowden. The handsome half-brother to Group 1 winner Hucklebuck (Elvstroem ex Kondari) has shown nice ability on the training track and connections can’t wait to see him in action!
No doubt a few to keep an eye on as Autumn rolls around.
