Triple Crown Team Active on Day 2 of Magic Millions Yearling Sale

Bidding competition has been fierce at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale as the first sale of the year proves to have attracted a very strong buying bench with a super competitive middle market. On day two theTriple Crown boys were delighted to secure their first yearling of 2014, Lot 206, a lovely bay filly by Champion 2YO Sire Stratum.

Lot 206 – 2012 Stratum ex Anabarbarian filly

The filly was purchased from the draft of Widden Farm for $200,000 and hails from a family of early running 2YO winners.

As the daughter of the Anabaa mare, Anabarbarian (who was a winner at 2 herself), Triple Crown’s latest addition is well related to a number of very classy runners including Top Australiasian 2YO Filly Midnight Fever, the dam of Shovhog and Shovoff, as well as Mahisara and Woppitt.

She is certainly bred to get up and run early, and looks the type to live up to her heritage with a strong, well-proportioned frame and fluent action.

“She’s a super athletic filly from a high quality, precocious family, we just had to have her” commented Chris Ward after outbidding a number of renowned judges.

The Magic Millions Yearling Sale continues over the next five days, and with a number of quality yearlings on their radar Triple Crown Syndications intends to be at the forefront of the bidding to secure their favourites.
