The magnificent grounds of Thenford Farm provided the perfect backdrop for Triple Crown’s annual Yearling Parade, which drew current and prospective owners alike for a day of equine excellence and hospitality.
Respected breaker Greg Bennett, provided an educational overview of the breaking-in process – what is involved and why they use the methods they do. It’s all about working with the horse, building trust and educating them in a positive and patient environment.
Attendees were treated to an impressive display as the new crop of yearlings were paraded before an enthusiastic crowd. Triple Crown’s Chris Ward and Sam Manion, provided insightful commentary on each horse, highlighting their pedigrees, conformation, and potential. It was an outline of what they loved about each one, why they purchased these specific horses and why others may wish to join the team in racing them.
The crowd also got a demonstration of a couple of the youngsters working through their paces in the round yard and showing how far their education had come since they were first purchased at the Magic Millions yearling sales.
Following the parade, guests enjoyed a lovely lunch served in Thenford Farm’s spectacular gardens adjacent to the historic homestead. The beautiful setting provided the perfect opportunity for owners to mingle, catch up with old and new friends and share their racing stories.
We extend our gratitude and thanks to all current owners and prospective clients who attended the event and helped make it a most enjoyable day. Special thanks are also due to the dedicated Thenford Farm staff, whose meticulous preparation and assistance ensured the smooth running of this successful event.
The wonderful open day again demonstrates Triple Crown’s continued commitment to combining quality bloodstock with exceptional owner experiences.
